Economic costs of biological invasions in the United States

We use the Invacost database to aggregate reported economic costs of invasive species in the US. Aquatic invasions have cost the US economy more than $1.22 trillion dollars, with half of those costs suffered by the agricultural sector. Evidence suggests these costs are severely underestimated.
